This is honestly one of the best teasets I have ever seen, and I am so excited to present it to you!
Containing a gaiwan, fairness cup, and four drinking cups, this set is hand-thrown, hand-painted, and full of gentle personality; it feels a little like it wandered straight out of a misty mountain pond and onto your tea table. The adorable little frogs bring a playful charm to a form rooted in serious craftsmanship.
Made for slow Gongfu sessions, peaceful mornings, and unhurried conversations, this set is one of those pieces that makes tea feel just a little more special.
Why You’ll Love It
Fully Handmade, From Clay to Kiln
Each piece is hand-thrown and fully hand-formed using high-temperature special clay, then fired at 1310°C. Every brushstroke, every curve, and every subtle variation is part of the story, and as such, no two sets are ever exactly alike.
Wabi-Sabi Beauty
This set embraces the beauty of imperfection - soft glaze variation, organic form, and the visible warmth of handwork. It carries the quiet philosophy of “Tao follows nature”, letting clay behave like clay, and fire leave its honest mark.
Playful, Yet Refined
The tiny frogs add personality without overwhelming the elegance of the form. It’s charming without being childish, and whimsical without losing its grounding in traditional ceramic artistry.
Made to Be Used & Loved
High-fired stoneware makes this set durable, heat-retentive, and perfect for years of daily tea sessions.
About the Artist: Chen Faming
This set was created by Chen Faming, an award-winning ceramic artist and recognised master of Chinese arts and crafts. I am so lucky to have him create this art for us.
